Tharun's 4th Birthday party on 8th and 9th Sep

Tharun's birthday party was a great success. The kids enjoyed playing in JJ's play area (http://www.jjsplay.com/). It was a nice play area with jaint size slides, doll houses etc. The kids were exhausted playing in variety of slides. It was time for lunch and then the party room was decorated with Scooby Doo theme. Every single friend of him attended the party. Also came along were Sreenidhi, Mahathi and Yokesh Ram. Tharun had blowed 4 candles and cut the cake. The food was served for the kids, they enjoyed it.

Earlier the day before the party, we and Vidhya-Prabha decided to take the kids to London. We went to Hamleys (http://www.hamleys.co.uk/), a 5 storeyed huge toy shop in London. Then we showed them London Eye (http://www.londoneye.com/), Big Ben (www.aboutbritain.com/BigBen.htm) and finally Tower Bridge (www.towerbridge.org.uk/)

We parked our cars and used the British railways and underground trains so that Tharun and Sreenidhi also gets to go in train once in a while. We were damn tired at the end of the day and the kids just slept in the train on the way back.

'When I'm stronger..'

Tharun keeps using the word 'strong' for growing big. He says 'I'll do this when I'm stronger, I'll do that when I become stronger'.

He loves cars as I've told many times earlier. Needless to say, our house is full of cars, small, medium, big sized, cars everywhere! He always talks about cars when we are on the road.

Today he said to me while I was driving him to the school, 'when I be stronger mummy, I'll become a man and I'll drive daddy's maroon Nissan car'. When the baby in your tummy be stronger she will become a lady and she will drive your Volkswagen car.

He has been told he is going to have a sister, we don't know yet! He first said, 'I don't like girls, so I want a brother', although all his friends in his nursery are Louisa, Mollie, Ellen, Kaisey etc. That girl Ellen gives him a kiss in front of me! just joking, they are just kids, Uma, don't ruin them with your nasty thoughts.

In reply to his statement, I asked him, 'so you both will give rest to mummy and daddy and take us around in the car?'. He replied, 'No mummy, you and daddy will be sttttrrronnnger then'. Me - 'Tharun, when you become a man, we will become old and weak and look like your thatha patti.' Then he says, 'Then, I will be like thatha patti and then look after the baby'.

I think, he understood he will also grow old some day. Hope he said he will look after his baby or his grand baby (hi! grand daughter or grandson will be called grand baby!)
